Best Bali Beach: Lovina Beach

The Lovina Beach in northern Bali is the place to go if you want a completely different vacation from the energetic Kuta-Seminyak area in South Bali. Traditional boats called "Jukung," supplied by several operators or people on shore, may be used to visit this fantastic site.

According to legend, the words "Love" and "Ina," the Balinese word for "mother," were combined to create the name Lovina. As a result, Lovina denotes love for the motherland or the nation. Historically, the name Lovina was prohibited since it was considered foreign. As a result, local tourist-related companies began using words like Manggala, Krisna, Angsoka, or Nirwana instead.

However, when north Bali's tourism increased dramatically, the name Lovina was once again utilized since it was simpler for visitors to remember and was thus preferred by tour companies.

Lovina's history is inextricably linked to Anak Agung Panji Tisna, who travelled extensively throughout Asia and Europe. He developed an interest in Bombay, India's style of life, which inspired him to imitate it in Buleleng. When Anak Agung Panji Tisna returned from his trip abroad in 1953, he immediately put his thoughts into action and built an inn called Lovina on his plot of land. The resort included a three-room home as well as a coastal restaurant. Lovina evolved from a tiny house to a sprawling tourist resort over time.
