There won't be enough time if we start to talk about the beauty of Karangasem, Bali. This area is located in the eastern part of Bali, Indonesia. It offers you beauty that you might never see before. Many of you might hear about Karangasem during the first eruption of Mount Agung in 2017, which continued to erupt in 2018. Here we would like to show you that Karangasem regency is more than just a home to Bali's most famous volcano but also other exciting must-visit places you can explore.

Lempuyang Temple

Locally known as Pura Luhur Lempuyang, Lempuyang Temple is one of Bali's oldest and most revered temples. It is also considered to have predated the vast majority of Hindu temples on the island and the six holy sites of devotion on Bali. The Lempuyang Temple, commonly known as the Gates of Heaven, is one of the primary attractions on many Bali trips. If you're interested in visiting Lempuyang Temple, you'll adore their renowned beautiful architecture. The whole area is gorgeous, and the gate is also known to the western people as "The Gates of Heaven." It is situated in the eastern portion of Bali, in the highlands of Mount Lempuyang, about two hours from Ubud and two and a half hours from Canggu.

Tirta Gangga

The Old Royal Palace of Tirta Gangga was given its name in honour of the Hindu holy river Ganges; it is now famous for the Karangasem royal water palace, a series of bathing ponds, and the Patirthan temple. The late King of Karangasem constructed a 1-hectare complex in 1946; however, it was nearly destroyed by the 1963 eruption of adjacent Mount Agung. Tirta Gangga is rooted in Balinese Hinduism, a religion in which the waters of the river Ganges are worshipped. The river's waters are prized for their utility in fostering agricultural prosperity, populace growth, leisure pursuits, and economic development. Throughout Balinese history, Tirta Gangga has been cherished as a holy water location and pilgrimage destination, and the Patirthan temple serves as a visual representation of its importance.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall

This waterfall, a relatively new draw for tourists to the Bangli area, provides the beauty and complexity of waterfalls unlike any other since it is surrounded by tall cliffs and has water that is so translucent that it almost appears to blend in with the surrounding rock. The local Balinese people refer to the Tukad Cepung Waterfall as "Cepung," and it is generally agreed that it is the most beautiful waterfall in Bali. In Balinese, "Tukad Cepung Waterfall" refers to the flow of the Cepung River. Tukad and Cepung are words for rivers and flows, respectively. Astonishment Tukad Cepung Waterfall never fails to enchant those fortunate enough to see it. This waterfall could be challenging to locate due to its hidden hiding place beneath the rocks. The trek down the cliff involves a few hundred stairs, but it is well worth the beauty.

Penglipuran Village

Penglipuran village is a lovely highland neighbourhood in the East Bali region of Bangli, primarily appreciated for its well-preserved layout and culture. While most people have embraced modernity, its compounds are meticulously maintained to seem archaic. Neatly trimmed gardens border the one stone-paved path that winds through the city centre toward the local temple, and each home is hidden behind old arched entry gates and walls. Penglipuran village has grown into a community-based tourist attraction throughout the years. Some people run stores inside their houses for simple snacks and souvenirs. The warm community is a highlight of this attraction, ideally located along the same route as the beautiful rim of Mount Batur crater and Kintamani village. Penglipuran village is a stunning place to visit.
